Hey! I am M.J. Slate and I wear a lot of hats. I am a mom, wife, homesteader, teacher, historian, and author.
I live in Texas with my husband and our three kids. When I am not writing, I am a high school history teacher and enjoy the outdoors on my family’s small ranch.
I love to talk about all things history, especially American History and the Founding Fathers, and I have created lots of resources that can be used to supplement your history education.
I also love to read and watch movies. My favorite books are Anne of Green Gables, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Lord of the Rings, and the Princess Bride. I also read a lot of nonfiction, mostly political science, history, entrepreneurship, writing, and finance.
